Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), officially known as Royal Challengers Bengaluru, is a professional cricket franchise based in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. The team competes in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and was founded in 2008 by United Spirits, named after its liquor brand Royal Challenge. The M. Chinnaswamy Stadium serves as the team’s home ground.

Before the 2024 Indian Premier League season, the team was officially renamed Royal Challengers Bengaluru, having been previously known as Royal Challengers Bangalore. RCB has finished as runners-up in the IPL on three occasions, in 2009, 2011, and 2016. With a valuation of $69.8 million, RCB is considered one of the most valuable IPL franchises.RCB is owned by United Spirits Limited

As of 2024, the team is captained by South African cricketer Faf du Plessis. Royal Challengers Bangalore also hold the record for the lowest score in an innings in the IPL, scoring 49 runs against the Kolkata Knight Riders.
