A murder case has been filed against Bangladesh cricket team all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan, as reported by the Dhaka Tribune. The case was filed by Rafiqul Islam, whose son, Rubel, was killed on August 7 during ongoing protests in Bangladesh. According to the report, Rubel was part of a rally on Ring Road in Adabor, where he was shot in the chest and abdomen. He was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries on August 7.The case, registered at the Adabor police station in Dhaka, lists Shakib as the 28th accused, while popular Bangladeshi actor Ferdous Ahmed is the 55th. Both Shakib and Ferdous are former Awami League MPs. The case also names former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and 154 others as accused, with an additional 400-500 unidentified individuals mentioned, according to the report.
